Cooking Quirks
What are your cooking quirks? Quirks don't have to be a bad thing. To me, cooking quirks are mannerisms and tendencies that come out when we are in the kitchen. Here are 3 of mine.
1. Leaving all the kitchen cabinets open.
When I'm finished cooking, they are all open. ALL. OF. THEM. In my defense, I feel like I can never find what I need and therefore need to open every drawer and cabinet in the process.
2. Jamming out to music
When I cook I love to jam out to country music. Any country music fans out there? Cooking is relaxing and enjoyable (most of the time). Putting on some tunes makes it that much more enjoyable.
3. All food safety everything
Having studied nutrition, and learned about best food safety practices multiple times, this topic is especially important to me. I like to think that nobody cares how delicious your food was if it makes them sick. I'm ultra aware of food safety practices such as never cross contaminating and storing cutlery face down in the dishwasher (it's safer!)
Alright everybody, your turn! What are some of your kitchen quirks?
